Leaving home
How old were you when you left home? What were the circumstances?

I left home for the first time just two years ago, when I was twenty-two. Adalhelm came for me - came to rescue me, my knight in shining armor. He married me for love, yes - but oh, what a love. He risked so much to make me his wife - to save me from these awful laws against my people. When I left home, I left my old identity behind - Hava Rosenberg died, and Viveka Reinhart was born. When we departed, it was under cover of darkness, hasty - after one quick last goodbye to my family. No friends - it was too risky to trust anyone outside of the family. I do not know if I will ever seen any of them again in this lifetime, this new lifetime as Adi's wife has taken me far from the circumstances in which I was born.
